The Marshfield Yacht Club provides functions
throughout the year for its Members, their children, and their guests. Traditionally the Club averages a function per
month.
January: Members Sue Camelio and Eli Foley lead a large
crew organizing the annual "Hangover Brunch" on New Years Day
Feburary: The Club's "SuperBowl Party" has become very popular
in recent years. Many Members arrive early to claim their seats for the big game. Additional big screen TV's are brought in
for this event. Food is provided by other Members and raffles are available to benefit our Children's Committee.
March: The Club's annual St. Patricks Day Dinner is always
a sell out. Member Al Sarno and his crew prepares the traditional all you can eat corned beef and cabbage dinner while listening
to live Irish music.
April: Every spring the Club prepares for the boating season starting with installing the
floats. The Membership is required to be present. In addition to the installation of the floats, Members perform maintenance
throughout the property such as yard and appliance cleaning.
May: Although the Club is open year round, the annual "Opening Night" celebtration is for
Members to get together and toast to the upcoming boating season. A full dinner is served along with live entertainment.
June: As a tradition at most yacht clubs, it is customary to Bless the Fleet before the boating
season to ensure safe voyage. Every year a ceremony of blessing is performed our fleet and then the festivities
begin with a full cookout. The Club's vessels are decorated and receive prizes. The mega raffle then commences with the proceeds
going to the Children's Committee.
July: The annual "Caribbean Dock Party" is a season highlight. Endless appertizers and Surf
and Turf. Then the live calipso band complete with steel drums turns the evening into a tropical paridise.
August: The annual "Clam Bake" features Boiled Lobster, steamers, muscles, home made clam
chowder, corn on the cob with hamburgers and hot dogs for the land lovers.
October: Kid's Halloween Party
